So it was in his hands (and) he was speaking by it, and acting by it, and narrating with it, and he was saying, \u2018I heard it from Rasool-Allah -saww \u2019. So, had the Muslims known that he was deluded, they would not have accepted it, and had he himself known that it was a delusion, he would have rejected it (himself).
