\nImam Sajad -asws \u00a0sat on the carpet of Imam Hussain -asws \u00a0and then Syeda Zainab -asws told the women of Syria what had befallen them.\u00a0 They shed tears and mourned.\u00a0 They had not known about the events of Karbala and Kufa, but when they went home, they told their men folk.\u00a0 Gradually, illusions of Yazid\u2019s good intentions were dispelled.\u00a0 It was fear of revolt that caused Yazid (L.A) \u00a0to release the members of the family of the Holy Prophet -asws \n Yazid (L.A) \u00a0gave them -asws \u00a0\u00a0the choice of remaining in Damascus or returning to Medina.\u00a0 In accordance with Mola Sajad\u2019s -asws \u00a0\u00a0instructions the Ahl-e-Bait -asws \u00a0returned to Medina, he called Nu\u2019man ibn Bashir, who had been a companion of the Holy Prophet -asws \u00a0, and ordered him to make suitable arrangements for their journey.\u00a0 A contingent of horsemen, foot soldiers and adequate provisions were made available.\u00a0 Gaily decorated litters with velvet seats were provided, but Syeda Zainab -asws ordered that these should be covered in black so that people would know the travelers were in mourning.

\n During the journey, Nu\u2019man ibn Bashir showed the travelers every consideration and respect.\u00a0 Whenever they stopped, the tents of the men were pitched a mile away from those of the women so that\u00a0 the women could move unhindered and unobserved by strangers.\u00a0 Gatherings of mourners were held wherever they stopped and many people came, listened and learned the truth.

\u00a0The travelers returned to Medina via Karbala.\u00a0 When they reached Karbala, they found Jabir ibn Abdullah Ansari (ar) and some of the chiefs of Bani Hashim were already there for they had come to pay homage at the grave of Imam Hussain -asws \u00a0.\u00a0 It is related that they\u00a0 had brought the severed head of the chief of martyrs -asws \u00a0with them from Damascus and that in Karbala, and were buried by his son Imam Zain-ul Abideen -asws .\u00a0 A great majlis was held before they resumed their journey.

\u00a0When the time came to leave Karbala, Syeda Zainab -asws wanted to remain near her brother\u2019s -asws grave till the day of her -asws death.\u00a0 But Imam Zain-ul-Abideen -asws pleaded with her -asws not to leave them , she -asws agreed to return to Medina.
