[22] \n An Extract from a Detailed Hadith on the Use of Rab for an Infallible Imam -asws : \n A detailed hadith on the meanings of Rab and its use in Holy Quran and traditions of Masomeen -asws by Imam Mohammed Baqir -asws is given below [23] : \n Imam Mohammed Baqir -asws told Abu Basir, O Abu Basir, \u2018We -asws are the \u2018Rab\u2019 of the Arsh, Kursi and we -asws are the Rab of the earth and the heavens as well as the Prophets -as and the angels -as and we -asws are the Rab of the Pen and the Tablet.\u00a0 And we -asws are the Rab of the Jins and the Houreen, and we -asws are the Rab of the Sun and the Moon and the Veils of the Divine Greatness and its Powers, its Uniqueness and we -asws have unique and Elevated Status.\u00a0 We -asws are the Rab of all these but Allah -azwj is our Lord \u2018Rab-ul-Arbab\u2019.

\n Abu Basir said: O Son of the Prophet -asws , May I be scarified for your cause. Are you -asws the Rab?\u00a0 Please elaborate on this subject.\u00a0 Imam -asws replied: O Abu Basir, the meaning of the word Rab is the Proprietor, the Owner.\u00a0 Allah -asws has issued the word of \u2018Rab\u2019 for the king of Egypt through the tongue of Prophet Josef -as .
