So he -saww said: \u2018What is this one?\u2019 So it was said: \u2018(He is an) Allama \u2019. So he -saww said: \u2018And what is an Allama ?\u2019 So they said to him -saww , \u2018The most knowledgeable of the people with the lineages of the Arabs and their events, and the days of the Ignorance (pre-Islamic period), and the poetry of the Arabs\u2019.

\n He -asws said: \u2018So the Prophet -saww said: \u2018That is a knowledge neither harming the one who is ignorant of it, nor does it benefit the one who knows it\u2019. Then the Prophet -saww said: \u2018But rather, the knowledge is of three (types) \u2013 A Decisive Verse, or a just Obligation, or an established Sunnah; and whatever is besides these, so it is \u2018\u0641\u064e\u0636\u0652\u0644\u064c\u2019 useless\u2019 .
