[22] عَنْهُ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ يَا عُمَرُ لَا تَحْمِلُوا عَلَى شِيعَتِنَا وَ ارْفُقُوا بِهِمْ فَإِنَّ النَّاسَ لَا يَحْتَمِلُونَ مَا تَحْمِلُونَ It is narrated from the narrator of the previous Hadith from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn al-Hakam from ‘Umar ibn Hanzalah who has narrated the following: ‘Abu Abd Allah -asws once said: ‘O ‘Umar! You must not overburden our Shias!
You must be kind to them because (general) people do not endure what you bear. [23] Amir-ul-Momineen -asws ’s Advice to his advancing soldiers: وَ إِيَّاكُمْ وَ التَّفَرُّقَ فَإِذَا نَزَلْتُمْ فَانْزِلُوا جَمِيعاً وَ إِذَا رَحَلْتُمْ فَارْحَلُوا جَمِيعاً وَ إِذَا غَشِيَكُمُ اللَّيْلُ فَنَزَلْتُمْ فَحُفُّوا عَسْكَرَكُمْ بِالرِّمَاحِ وَ التِّرَسَةِ وَ لْتَكُنْ رُمَاتُكُمْ مِنْ وَرَاءِ تِرَسَتِكُمْ وَ رِمَاحُكُمْ يَلُونَهُمْ وَ مَا أَقَمْتُمْ (Amir ul-Momineen -asws said:) And beware of separation.
Whenever you encamp, then encamp all together, and whenever you depart, then depart all together, and when the night overcomes you and you have encamped, then protect your soldiers with the spears and the shields, and let your throwing be from behind your shields, and your spear should follow them and what you have set up. (an extract).
[24] The Waking and What Assists in Walking: مصباح الشريعة قَالَ الصَّادِقُ ع إِنْ كُنْتَ عَاقِلًا فَقَدِّمِ الْعَزِيمَةَ الصَّحِيحَةَ وَ النِّيَّةَ الصَّادِقَةَ فِي حِينِ قَصْدِكَ إِلَى أَيِّ مَكَانٍ أَرَدْتَ وَ انْهَ النَّفْسَ مِنَ التَّخَطِّي إِلَى مَحْذُورٍ وَ كُنْ مُتَفَكِّراً فِي مَشْيِكَ وَ مُعْتَبِراً لِعَجَائِبِ صُنْعِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ أَيْنَمَا بَلَغْتَ وَ لَا تَكُنْ مُسْتَهْتَراً وَ لَا مُتَبَخْتِراً فِي مِشْيَتِكَ وَ غُضَّ بَصَرَكَ عَمَّا لَا يَلِيقُ بِالدِّينِ وَ اذْكُرِ اللَّهَ كَثِيراً (The book) ‘Misbah Al Sharia’ – ‘Al-Sadiq -asws said: ‘If you were to be intellectual, present the correct determination, and the truthful intent during when you aim to go to whichever place you want, and it is the soul stepping to the danger, and be pondering during your walk, and taking lessons at the wonderous Making of Allah -azwj Mighty and Majestic wherever you may reach, and neither be mocking, nor swagger (sway/showing-off) in your walk, and shut your eyes from what is not related with the religion, and mention (do Zikr) of Allah -azwj a lot.
