He -asws said: \u2018Rasool-Allah -saww had made a pact upon them for Ali -asws regarding the caliphate in twenty places, then Allah -azwj Revealed: O you who believe! Fulfil the agreements. [5:1] which have been pacted upon you all for Amir Al-Momineen -asws \u2019\u2019. [2] \n Imam Ja\u2019far -asws , from his -asws father -asws regarding His -azwj Words: Today I Perfected your Religion for you and Completed My Favour upon you, [5:3] .
He -asws said: \u2018It was Revealed regarding Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws in particular, and not about the rest of the people\u2019\u2019. [3] \n \u2018I heard Abu Ja\u2019far -asws saying: \u2018When Allah -azwj the Exalted Revealed: Today I Perfected your Religion for you and Completed My Favour upon you, [5:3] . He -asws said: \u2018So, the perfection of the religion was by Wilayah of Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws \u2019\u2019. [4] \n See an additional Hadeeth on 5:3 in the Appendix I.
\n \u2018I heard Rasool-Allah -saww saying: \u2018Community of people! Know, that there is a door for Allah -azwj , one who enters it would be secure from the Fire!\u2019 Abu Saeed Al-Khudry stood up to him -saww and said, \u2018O Rasool-Allah -saww ! Guide us to this door until we recognise it\u2019.
\n He -saww said: \u2018It is Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws , chief of the successors -asws , and Amir Al-Momineen -asws , and brother -asws of the Rasool -saww of Lord -azwj of the words, and His -azwj caliph upon the people in their entirety\u2019. \n Community of the people! One who loved to recognise the Divine Authority after me -saww , let him recognise Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws . \n Community of people!
One whom it cheers to have the Wilayah of Allah -azwj , let him be led by Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws and the Imams -asws from my -saww offspring. They -asws are treasurers of my -saww knowledge!\u2019 \n Jabir Bin Abdullah Al-Ansari, may Allah -azwj be Pleased with him, stood up and said, \u2018O Rasool-Allah -saww ! And what is the number of the Imams -asws ?\u2019 \n He -saww said: \u2018O Jabir! May Allah -azwj have Mercy on you! You have asked me -saww about Al-Islam in its entirety.
Their -asws number is the number of the months, and it is in the Presence of Allah -azwj as, the number of months in the Presence of Allah is twelve months in the Book of Allah, the day He Created the skies and the earth [9:36] .
