\n Imam Al-Baqir -asws said: \u2018And as for His -azwj Words: did not create anything [16:20] , it means they are not worshipping anything, and they are Created , it means they are worshipping. \n And as for His -azwj Words: (They are) dead, not living [16:21] , it means Kafirs, not Momineen, and they are not aware when they would be Resurrected [16:21] – it means they are not believing, they are associating, Your God is one God [16:22] . So, it is as Allah -azwj Says.

\n And as for His -azwj Words: so (as for) those who are not believing in the Hereafter, [16:22] \u2013 They are not believing in the Return (Raj\u2019at) that it is true. And as for His -azwj Words: their hearts are in denial and they are being arrogant [16:22] , it means their hearts are in disbelief (kafir). And as for His -azwj Words: and they are being arrogant [16:22] . It means they are being arrogant from the Wilayah of Ali -asws .

\n Allah -azwj Says to the one who does that: There is no doubt that Allah Knows what they are keeping as a secret and what they are making public. Surely, He does not Love the arrogant [16:23] , about the Wilayah of Ali -asws \u2019\u2019. [8] \n \u2018From Abu Ja\u2019far -asws regarding Words of the Exalted: (They are) dead, not living, – meaning Kafirs, not Momineen.

And as for His -azwj Words: and they are not aware when they would be Resurrected [16:21] \u2013 it means they are not believing and they are associating, Your God is one God, – it is just as Allah -azwj has Said. And as for His -azwj Words: so (as for) those who are not believing in the Hereafter [16:22] \u2013 it means not believing in the Raj\u2019at that it is true\u2019\u2019.

[9] \n \u2018From Abu Ja\u2019far -asws having said: \u2018This Verse was Revealed like this: And when it is said to them: \u2018What is it that your Lord Revealed regarding Ali?\u2019 They say, \u2018Stories of the former ones\u2019 [16:24] \u2019\u2019.

[10] \n \u2018From Abu Ja\u2019far -asws regarding His -azwj Words: And when it is said to them: \u2018What is it that your Lord Revealed?\u2019 \u2013 regarding Ali -asws – They say, \u2018Stories of the former ones\u2019 [16:24] \u2013 the people of the ignorance rhyming in their ignorance, so that is in His -azwj Words: \u2018Stories of the former ones\u2019 [16:24] .

\n And as for His -azwj Words: They would be bearing their burdens entirely on the Day of Judgment [16:25] \u2013 meaning their Kufr would be complete on the Day of Judgement\u2019.
