It is narrated from him (narrator of previous Hadith) Ahmad ibn Mohammed from Hammad from Hariz from Zurarah and Mohammed ibn Muslim who has said the following: ‘Abu ‘Abdullah -asws has said: ‘When a total Sun eclipse takes place but you do not notice it and come to know about it later, you must perform Qaza’ (compensatory prayer for) Salat (for eclipse), but if it is not a total eclipse, you are not required to perform anything.’ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْوَاسِطِيِّ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَيْهِ إِذَا انْكَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ أَوِ الْقَمَرُ وَ أَنَا رَاكِبٌ لَا أَقْدِرُ عَلَى النُّزُولِ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مَرْكَبِكَ الَّذِي أَنْتَ عَلَيْهِ .
