I said: It is a (pair of) socks that I have made. He -asws said: Didn’t you know that the pure white socks (symbolise arrogance) – was from the clothing of the tyrants, and they were the first to make it? And the red socks were from the clothing of the Chosroes, and they were the first to make it?

And the black socks are from the clothing of Banu Hashim and a Sunnah.
