He said...

He said, \u2018This Verse, by Allah -azwj , is especially for Amir Al-Momineen Ali -asws . He -asws was frequently saying in his -asws supplications: \u2018Our Lord! Grant to us from our wives \u2013 meaning (Syeda) Fatima -asws , and our offspring, Al-Hassan -asws and Al-Husayn -asws , delight of our eyes, [25:74] . \n Amir Al-Momineen -asws said: \u2018By Allah -azwj !

I -asws did not ask my -asws Lord -azwj for a son of a beautiful face, nor a son of excellent stature, but I -asws asked my -asws Lord -azwj for a son obedient to Allah -azwj , fearing, apprehensive from Him -azwj , until when I -asws looked at him and he is obedient to Allah -azwj , my -asws eyes would be delighted by him\u2019. \n He -azwj Said, \u2018 and Make us Imams for the pious [25:74] , he said, \u2018We follow the pious ones before us so the pious ones would follow us from after us.

And Said: Those would be Recompensed with chambers for what they had been patient upon, – meaning Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws , and Al-Hassan -asws , and Al-Husayn -asws and (Syeda) Fatima -asws , and they would be met therein with greetings and salutations [25:75] Abiding eternally therein. Excellent is the abode and the resting place [25:76] \u2019\u2019. [30] \n \u2018I asked Abu Abdullah -asws about His -azwj Words: And those who are saying, \u2018Our Lord!

Grant to us from our wives and our offspring, delight of our eyes, and Make us Imams for the pious [25:74] . He -asws said: \u2018We -asws , People -asws of the Household, are they\u2019\u2019. \n And others reported – our wives \u2013 (Syeda) Khadeeja -asws , and our offspring, – (Syeda) Fatima -asws , delight of our eyes, – Al-Hassan -asws and Al-Husayn -asws , and Make us Imams for the pious [25:74] \u2013 Ali -asws Bin Abu Talib -asws \u2019\u2019.

[31] \n Amir Al-Momineen -asws said: \u2018A friend of ours -asws is a friend of Allah -azwj . When he dies, he would be among the lofty friends, and Allah -azwj would Quench him from a river colder than the ice, and sweeter than the honey\u2019. It was asked: \u00a0And even if he was a sinner?\u2019 He -asws said: \u2018Yes. Did you not read the Book of Allah -azwj : those ones, Allah would Replace their evil deeds with good deeds, and Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful [25:70] \u2019\u2019.

[32] \n \u2018I asked Al-Reza -asws about the listening (to songs). He -asws said: \u2018For people of Al-Hijaz there is a view regarding it, and it is in the realm of the falsehood and the amusement.
