For instance, a man of Al-Tamimi says \u2013 \u2018We destroyed a city and killed the people therein\u2019, although such and such destroyed the city and such and such killed the people. In the same way an Arab says: ‘We are the people of such a clan, and we captured the children of such a clan and we destroyed a particular city.’ He does not mean that he himself was involved in it personally, but he means those who actually performed the deed were from among his people.
