We met Salim Bin Abu Jafsa, and he said, \u2018O Abu Ubeyda!

We met Salim Bin Abu Jafsa, and he said, \u2018O Abu Ubeyda! Who is your Imam -asws ?\u2019 I said, \u2018My Imams -asws are the Progeny -asws of Muhammad -saww \u2019. \n He said, \u2018You are destroyed and destroying (others). Didn\u2019t I and you hear Abu Ja\u2019far -asws and he -asws said: \u2018One who dies and there isn\u2019t an Imam -asws for him, dies a death of the pre-Islamic period\u2019?\u2019 I said, \u2018Yes, by my life! That has been so\u2019.

\n Then, after that by three days or so, we entered to see Abu Abdullah -asws , and he -asws graced the recognition to us. I entered to see him -asws and said to him -asws , \u2018I met Salim\u2019. He -asws said to me such and such, and I said to him -asws such and such. Abu Abdullah -asws said: \u2018O woe be to Salim!\u2019 \u2013 three times.

\u2018Doesn\u2019t Salim know what the status of the Imam -asws is?\u2019 The Imam -asws is more magnificent than what Salim is going towards, and so are the people in their entirety. \n O Ubeyda! A dying one from us -asws does not pass away until he -asws leaves behind from after him -asws , one who deals with similar to his -asws deeds, and have methods with the like of his -asws methods, and calls to the like of that which he -asws had called to. \n O Abu Ubeyda!

Verily, Allah -azwj did not Prevent him -asws from what He -azwj Gave Dawood -as , and He -azwj Gave Suleyman -as superior than what He -azwj had Given Dawood -as \u2019. Then he -asws said: This is Our Gift, so either confer or withhold, without a Reckoning [38:39] \u2019. \n He (the narrator) said, \u2018I said, \u2018What has Allah -azwj Given him -asws ? May I be sacrificed for you \u2011asws !\u2019 He -asws said: \u2018O Abu Ubeyda!

Surely, when the Qaim -asws of the Progeny -asws of Muhammad -saww rises, he -asws would judge by the judgment of Dawood -as and Suleyman -as . He -asws will not ask the people for proof\u2019\u2019.

[8] \n It was asked from Abu Abdullah -asws (6 th Imam) about the afflictions of Prophet Ayoub -as , Imam -asws said: \n Prophet Ayoub -as saw his wife\u2019s hair to have been cut off, and that is because she had asked a people to give her from the food what she could carry to Ayoub -as , and her hair was beautiful. They said to her, \u2018Sell this hair of yours to us and we shall give you\u2019. So, she cut it off and handed it over to them, and took from them food for Ayoub -as .
