The Qur’an in respect of Adam, the first man says: "I have breathed into him of My spirit." (Surah al-Hijr 15:29). The question of soul and its survival after death is one of the basic teachings of Islam. One half of the undeniable teachings of Islam is based on the doctrine that soul is independent of the body and that it continues to exist after death. All real human values are based on this truth, without which they will be nothing more than a figment of imagination.
