All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who humble themselves will be exalted." (27) The moral pride that leads us to consider ourselves better than the rest and that constitutes a serious obstacle to spiritual self-realization must be extirpated completely from our hearts and minds. This moral or spiritual pride is more difficult to detect in ourselves. It is only through prayer that the soul may arrive at this perception.
