Supplication of the Imam of the time for the Muslims O Allah; (please do) grant us success to obey (You) allahumma irzuqna tawfiqa atta`a(ti) اللّهُمّ ارْزُقْنَا تَوْفِيقَ الطَّاعَةِ And remoteness from disobedience (to You) wa bu`da alma`siya(ti) وَبُعْدَ الْمَعْصِيَةِ And true intention wa sidqa anniyya(ti) وَصِدْقَ النّيّةِ O Allah; (please do) grant us success to obey (You) allahumma irzuqna tawfiqa atta`a(ti) اللّهُمّ ارْزُقْنَا تَوْفِيقَ الطَّاعَةِ And remoteness from disobedience (to You) wa bu`da alma`siya(ti) وَبُعْدَ الْمَعْصِيَةِ And true intention wa sidqa anniyya(ti) وَصِدْقَ النّيّةِ And identification of sanctity wa `irfana alhurma(ti) وَعِرْفَانَ الْحُرْمَةِ And (please do) honor us with true guidance and straightforwardness wa akrimna bilhuda walistiqama(ti) وَأَكْرِمْنَا بِالْهُدَى وَالاسْتِقَامَةِ And dedicate our tongues to truth and wisdom wa saddid alsinatana bissawabi walhikma(ti) وَسَدّدْ أَلْسِنَتَنَا بِالصّوَابِ وَالْحِكْمَةِ And fill in our hearts with knowledge and learning wamla’ qulubana bil`ilmi walma`rifa(ti) وَامْلأ قُلُوبَنَا بِالْعِلْمِ وَالْمَعْرِفَةِ And purify our stomachs from illegally and suspiciously gotten food wa tahhir butunana mina alharami washshubha(ti) وَطَهّرْ بُطُونَنَا مِنَ الْحَرَامِ وَالشّبْهَةِ And withhold our hands from oppression and larceny wakfuf aydiyana `an a¨¨ulmi wassariqa(ti) وَاكْفُفْ أَيْدِيَنَا عَنِ الظّلْمِ وَالسّرِقَةِ And turn our sights away from licentiousness and treachery waghdud absarana `an alfujuri walkhiyana(ti) وَاغْضُضْ أَبْصَارَنَا عَنِ الْفُجُورِ وَالْخِيَانَةِ And block our hearings against vainness and backbiting wasdud asma`ana `an allaghwi walghayba(ti) وَاسْدُدْ أَسْمَاعَنَا عَنِ اللّغْوِ وَالْغِيبَةِ And identification of sanctity wa `irfana alhurma(ti) walghayba(ti) وَاسْدُدْ أَسْمَاعَنَا عَنِ اللّغْوِ وَالْغِيبَةِ And confer on our scholars with asceticism and advice wa tafaddal `ala `ulama’ina bizzuhdi wannasiha(ti) وَتَفَضّلْ عَلَى عُلَمَائِنَا بِالزّهْدِ وَالنّصِيحَةِ And on the learners with hard work and desire (to learning) wa `ala almuta`allimina biljuhdi wa-raghba(ti) وَعَلَى الْمُتَعَلّمِينَ بِالْجُهْدِ وَالرّغْبَةِ And on the listeners with following and learning (lessons) wa `ala almustami`ina bilittiba`i walmaw`i¨a(ti) وَعَلَى الْمُسْتَمِعِينَ بِالاتّبَاعِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ And on the Muslim patients with cure and comfort wa `ala marda almuslimina bishshafa’i warraha(ti) وَعَلَى مَرْضَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالشّفَاءِ وَالرَّاحَةِ And on the Muslim deads with kindness and mercy wa `ala mawtahum birra’fati warrahma(ti) وَعَلَى مَوْتَاهُمْ بِالرّأْفَةِ وَالرّحْمَةِ And on our old ones with somberness and gentleness wa `ala mashayikhina bilwaqari wassakina(ti) وَعَلَى مَشَايِخِنَا بِالْوَقَارِ وَالسّكِينَةِ And on the youths with turning (to You) and repentance wa `ala ashshababi bil’inabati wattawba(ti) وَعَلَى الشّبَابِ بِالانَابَةِ وَالتّوْبَةِ And on the women with shyness and chastity wa `ala annisa’i bilhaya’i wal`iffa(ti) وَعَلَى النّسَاءِ بِالْحَيَاءِ وَالْعِفّةِ And on the rich with modesty and ample giving wa `ala al-aghniya’i bittawadu`i wassa`a(ti) وَعَلَى الاغْنِيَاءِ بِالتّوَاضُعِ `ala alfuqara’i bissabri walqana`a(ti) وَعَلَى الْفُقَرَاءِ بِالصّبْرِ وَالْقَنَاعَةِ And on the warriors with triumph and primacy wa `ala alghuzati binnasri walghalaba(ti) وَعَلَى الْغُزَاةِ بِالنّصْرِ وَالْغَلَبَةِ And on the prisoners with release and comfort wa `ala al-usara’i bilkhalasi warraha(ti) وَعَلَى الاُسَرَاءِ بِالْخَلاصِ وَالرَّاحَةِ And on the rulers with justice and sympathy wa `ala al-umara’i bil`adli washshafaqa(ti) وَعَلَى الاُمَرَاءِ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالشّفَقَةِ And on the subjects with impartiality and good behavior wa `ala arra`iyyati bil-insafi wa husni assira(ti) وَعَلَى الرّعِيّةِ بِالاِنْصَافِ وَحُسْنِ السّيرَةِ And (please do) bless the pilgrims to Mecca and the visitators (to the tombs of the saints) with provision and expenditure wa barik lilhujjaji wazzuwwari fizzadi wannafaqa(ti) وَبَارِكْ لِلْحُجَّاجِ وَالزّوَّارِ فِي الزَّادِ وَالنّفَقَةِ And help them settle the Hajj and Umrah that You have made incumbent upon them waqdi ma awjabta `alayhim min alhajji wal`umra(ti) وَاقْضِ مَا أَوْجَبْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ الْحَجّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ And on the poor with patience and satisfaction wa `ala alfuqara’i bissabri walqana`a(ti) وَعَلَى
