He was the brother of the great scholar, Zarara b. A‘yun. He reported on the authority of Imam Abu Ja‘far (al-Baqir), peace be on him, and Imam al-Sadiq, peace be on him. He reported few traditions. He has a book, as al-Najashi mentioned.[^13] ‘Abd al-Rahman bin Zar‘a Shaykh al-Tusi numbered him as on of the companions of Imam al-Baqir, peace be on him. Al-Barqi also numbered him as on of the companions of Imam al-Baqir, peace be on him.
