The Holy Prophet (sws) and all 11 Imams (as) had married women and had many children from them. Despite the very short life span of the Imams, and mass killing of saadat, a great number of sayyed exist today. The 12th Imam must also have married many women. The Holy Prophet (sws) was granted by Allah a special provision of marrying more than 4 wives at a time because of some good reasons.
