He must be motivated by certain ideals or sentiment to be willing to offer his life for their sake. So, the most materialistic school cannot do without some kind of spiritual values, even if he turns his conviction into something to be worshipped. A school of thought of a community based merely on material interest, cannot be really comprehensive or practical.
