Similarly, the Christians of tribes of al-Jarba’, Adhruh and al-Muqanna too entered into agreements to pay jizyah. The chief of Dawmat al-Jandal, Ukaydar ibn `Abd al-Malik was brought in captivity. He too accepted to pay jizyah and was released. When the Prophet (a.s) was satisfied that there was no sign of the enemy Roman troops, he ordered his men to return to al-Madinah.
