Among those standard-bearers were Kurayb ibn Shurayh, Shurahbil ibn Shurayh, Murthid ibn Shurayh, Hubayrah ibn Shurayh, Huraym ibn Shurayh and Samir ibn Shurayh. These were six brothers who valiantly held their standard and fought until the end of their lives. Then the other standard-bearers who sacrificed their lives were Sufyan ibn Zayd, `Abd ibn Zayd and Kurayb ibn Zayd. These three brothers too laid down their lives fighting for the cause of the Faith.
