وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ لِذِكْرِي “And maintain the prayer for My remembrance.

Indeed the prayer keeps away from indecency and evil, and certainly the remembrance of Allah is the greatest.” [^5] ‘Allamah Tabataba’i states, “The context of this verse bears witness to the fact that the purport of the prayer keeping away from indecency denotes that the very nature of prayer inhibits corruption and prohibited acts. You might ask how prayer prevents us from committing indecency.

In response, we say that if Allah’s servant performs the five daily prayers each day continuously all his life, especially if he does them with all his fasts in a righteous society…
