Then when the agents wrote to Harun about this he said, ‘Now I am secure from his side.’[^2] Later on, Az-Zobayri (who was a security agent)wrote that Ali ibn Musa Ar-Ridha’ (a.s.) has opened up the door of his house and is inviting the people towards himself. Then Harun said, ‘How strange this agent is?
He himself wrote that Ali ibn Musa (a.s.) went out and bought a dog, a ram and a cock and now he is writing this stuff!’” 47-5 Ali ibn Abdullah al-Warraq - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’d ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Yaqoob ibn Yazid, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Hassaan, Abu Muhammad an-Neeli, on the authority of Al-Husayn ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Shahawayh ibn Abdullah, on the authority of Al- 2 - حَدَّثَنا أَبي رَضِىَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قالَ: حَدَّثَنا سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ عُبِيْد قالَ إِنَّ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الطَّاهِرِيَّ كَتَبَ إِلَى الرِّضَايَشْكُو عَمَّهُ بِعَمَلِ السُّلْطَانِ وَالتَّلَبُّسِ بِهِ وَأَمْرَ وَصِيَّتِهِ فِي يَدَيْهِ فَكَتَبَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ أَمَّا الْوَصِيَّةُ فَقَدْ كُفِيتَ أَمْرَهَا فَاغْتَمَّ الرَّجُلُ فَظَنَّ أَنَّهَا تُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُ فَمَاتَ بَعدَ ذَلِكَ بِعِشْرِينَ يَوْماً 3 - حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ الوَلِيد قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن الصَفَّار عَنْ أَحْمَدِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى قالَ: حَدَّثَنا مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الحَسَن بْنِ علان عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّه القُمِّيّ قالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَ الرِّضَا عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ وَفِيَّ عَطَشٌ شَدِيدٌ فَكَرِهْتُ أَنْ أَسْتَسْقِيَ فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ وَذَاقَهُ وَنَاوَلَنِي فَقَالَ يَا مُحَمَّدُ اشْرَبْ فَإِنَّهُ بَارِدٌ فَشَرِبْتُ.
