Please establish it as a means of healing for me, and as a light, since Thee are capable of all things.” Then put on your cleanest clothes. Take short steps and while you are entering (the Holy shrine) say: “In the Name of God the Beneficent, the Merciful. In the name of God (I begin), in God (I trust), and the religion of God’s Prophet (I follow).
God’s Blessings be upon him and his Household. I bear witness that there is no god but God . He is One and He has no partners. And I bear witness that Muhammad (a.s.) is His Servant and His Messenger. And I bear witness that (Imam) Ali (a.s.) is God’s friend.” وَتَقُولُ حِينَ تَخْرُجُ: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَبِاللَّهِ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ وَإِلَى ابْنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ تَوَجَّهْتُ وَإِلَيْكَ قَصَدْتُ وَمَا عِنْدَكَ أَرَدْتُ.
فَإِذَا خَرَجْتَ فَقِفْ عَلَى بَابِ دَارِكَ وَقُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ إِلَيْكَ وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي وَعَلَيْكَ خَلَّفْتُ أَهْلِي وَمَالِي وَمَا خَوَّلْتَنِي وَبِكَ وَثِقْتُ فَلا تُخَيِّبْنِي يَا مَنْ لا يُخَيِّبُ مَنْ أَرَادَهُ وَلا يُضَيِّعُ مَنْ حَفِظَهُ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِ مُحَمَّد وَاحْفَظْنِي بِحِفْظِكَ فَإِنَّهُ لا يَضِيعُ مَنْ حَفِظْتَ.
فَإِذَا وَافَيْتَ سَالِماً فَاغْتَسِلْ وَقُلْ حِينَ تَغْتَسِلُ: اللَّهُمَّ طَهِّرْنِي وَطَهِّرْ قَلْبِي وَاشْرَح لِي صَدْرِي وَأَجْرِ عَلَى لِسَانِي مِدْحَتَكَ وَمَحَبَّتَكَ وَالثَّنَاءَ عَلَيْكَ فَإِنَّهُ لا قُوَّةَ إِلاّ بِكَ وَقَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ قُوَّةَ دِينِي التَّسْلِيمُ لامْرِكَ وَالاتِّبَاعُ لِسُنَّةِ نَبِيِّكَ وَالشَّهَادَةُ عَلَى جَمِيعِ خَلْقِكَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ لِي شِفَاءً وَنُوراً إِنَّكَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.
وَالْبَسْ أَطْهَرَ ثِيَابِكَ وَامْشِ حَافِياً وَعَلَيْكَ السَّكِينَةُ وَالْوَقَارُ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ وَالتَّهْلِيلِ وَالتَّسْبِيحِ وَالَّتمْجِيدِ وَقَصِّرْ خُطَاكَ وَقُلْ حِينَ تَدْخُلُ: بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَبِاللَّهِ وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ. أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لا شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّداً عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ عَلِيّاً وَلِيُّ اللَّهِ.
Then walk until you stop at his tomb. Then face him by turning your back to the Qibla and say: “I bear witness that there is no god but God , the One; and there are no partners for Him. I bear witness that Muhammad (a.s.) is His Servant and His Messenger.
