The next verse (NO.16) implies that the youths must have taken a counsel among themselves with the conclusion that:ِ ``Let us not be afraid of anyone, and leave our affairs entirely in the hands of God, with the hope that He will solve our problems, and remove our difficulties.'' Meanwhile they must have known that their refusals and their recantation had endangered their social life, and they had either to be martyred, or they would return them to their previous creed of idolatry and polytheism, which was something impossible for them to accept.
