Qur'an describes in several places how he was advised by God not to go near a certain tree when he was in heaven; how Satan deceived Adam and his wife Hawwa through his false oath and how Hawwa, becoming convinced of his truth, persuaded Adam; and how he, inadvertently, ate from that tree, and then was sent to Earth. This is the gist of those narratives. First of all, Qur'an clearly says that Adam was created as Khalifa of Allah for this Earth. Before being sent here, he was put in the paradise.
