17ـ فَأفِقْ أيُّهَا السّامِعُ مِنْ غَفْلَتِكَ...

17ـ فَأفِقْ أيُّهَا السّامِعُ مِنْ غَفْلَتِكَ، واخْتَصِرْ مِنْ عَجَلَتِكَ، وأشْدُدْ أزْرَكَ، وخُذْ حِذْرَكَ، واذْكُرْ قَبْرَكَ، فَإنَّ عَلَيْهِ مَمَرَّكَ. Negligence is enough of a misguidance. 18ـ كَفى بِالغَفْلَةِ ضَلالاً. It is enough of negligence for a person to waste his efforts in that which does not concern [or benefit] him. 19ـ كَفى بِالمَرْءِ غَفْلَةً أنْ يَصْرِفَ هِمَّتـَهُ فيما لايَعْنيهِ.

It is enough of negligence for a person to squander his life in that which will not save him [in the Hereafter]. 20ـ كَفى بِالرَّجُلِ غَفْلَةً أنْ يُضَيِّعَ عُمْرَهُ فيما لايُنْجيهِ.
