Shiavault - a Vault of Shia Islamic Books Ghurar Al-Hikam Wa Durar Al-Kalim, Exalted Aphorisms And Pearls Of Speech Truthfulness Truthfulness-الصدق Truthfulness is the strongest column of faith. 1ـ اَلصِّدْقُ أقْوى دَعائِم الإيمانِ. Truthfulness is the pillar of Islam and the column of faith. 2ـ اَلصِّدْقُ عِمادُ الإسْلامِ ودَعامَةُ الإيمانِ. Truthfulness is the cornerstone of faith and the adornment of the human being. 3ـ اَلصِّدْقُ رَأسُ الإيمانِ، وزَيْنُ الإنْسانِ.

Truthfulness is the beauty of a human being and the column of faith. 4ـ اَلصِّدْقُ جَمالُ الإنْسانِ، ودَعامَةُ الإيمانِ. Be truthful and you will be successful. 5ـ أُصْدُقْ تُنْجِحْ. Adopt truthfulness and trustworthiness for indeed these are the two traits of the righteous. 6ـ اِلْزَمِ الصِّدْقَ والأمانَةَ، فَإنَّهُما سَجِيَّةُ الأبْرارِ. Espouse truthfulness even if you fear harm may come of it, for indeed this is better for you than the lying from which benefit is expected.

7ـ اِلْزَمِ الصِّدْقَ وإنْ خِفْتَ ضُرَّهُ فَإنَّهُ خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنَ الكِذْبِ المَرْجُوِّ نَفْعُهُ. Seek benefit from truthfulness in every situation and you will gain; keep away from evil and dishonesty, and you will remain safe. 8ـ اِغْتَنِمِ الصِّدْقَ في كُلِّ مَوْطِن تَغْنَمْ،وَ اجْتَنِبِ الشَّـرَّ والكِذْبَ تَسْلَمْ. Be truthful in your words, be sincere in your actions and purify yourselves with piety. 9ـ أُصْدُقُوا في أقْوالِكُمْ، وأخْلِصُوا في أعْمالِكُمْ، وتَزَكُّوا بِالوَرَعِ.

The most sublime thing is truthfulness. 10ـ أجَلُّ شَيْء اَلصِّدْقُ. The best honesty is fulfilling your promises. 11ـ أفْضَلُ الصِّدْقِ اَلوَفاءُ بِالعُهُودِ. The best honesty is fulfilling your promise and the best generosity is exerting yourself [in helping others]. 12ـ أحْسَنُ الصِّدْقِ اَلوَفاءُ بِالعَهْدِ، وأفْضَلُ الجُودِ بَذْلُ الجَهْدِ. Truthfulness is a means [of attaining success]. 13ـ اَلصِّدْقُ وَسيلَةٌ. Truthfulness is trustworthiness; dishonesty is a betrayal.

14ـ اَلصِّدْقُ أمانَةٌ، اَلكِذْبُ خيانَةٌ. Truthfulness saves [one from hardship]. 15ـ اَلصِّدْقُ يُنْجي. Honesty is a merit; dishonesty is a vice. 16ـ اَلصِّدْق ُ فَضيلَةٌ، اَلكِذْبُ رَذيلَةٌ. Honesty is [a means to] success; dishonesty is a cause of disgrace. 17ـ اَلصِّدْقُ نَجاحٌ، اَلكِذْبُ فَضَّاحٌ. Truthfulness is an elevation. 18ـ اَلصِّدْقُ مَرْفَعَةٌ. Honesty is the trust of the tongue. 19ـ اَلصِّدْقُ أمانَةُ اللِّسانِ. Truthfulness is the brother of justice. 20ـ اَلصِّدْقُ أخُو العَدْلِ.

Honesty is the language of truth. 21ـ اَلصِّدْقُ لِسانُ الحَقِّ.
