Shiavault - a Vault of Shia Islamic Books Ghurar Al-Hikam Wa Durar Al-Kalim, Exalted Aphorisms And Pearls Of Speech Cowardice Cowardice الجُبْن Be wary of cowardice for it is indeed disgraceful and [is] a deficiency. 1ـ اِحْذَروُا الجُبْنَ، فَإنَّهُ عارٌ، ومَنْقَصَةٌ. Cowardice is an affliction and impuissance is feeble-mindedness. 2ـ اَلجُبْنُ افَةٌ، اَلْعَجْزُ سَخافَةٌ. Extreme cowardice stems from impuissance of the self and weakness of conviction.
