One who takes pride in wastefulness will be humiliated by indigence. 19ـ مَنِ افْتَخَرَ بِالتَّبْذيرِ اِحْتَقَرَ بِالإفْلاسِ. That which is above sufficiency is extravagance. 20ـ ما فَوْقَ الكَفافِ إسْرافٌ. There is no ignorance like wastefulness. 21ـ لاجَهْلَ كَالتَّبْذيرِ. There is no affluence with extravagance. 22ـ لا غِنى مَعَ إسْراف. Woe be to the extravagant! How far he is from reforming himself and setting right his affair!
