Al-Kāfi - The Book of Intelligence and Ignorance Chapter: The Book of Intelligence and Ignorance َّدٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َيْرٍ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ حُ٠ْرَانَ وَصَفْوَانَ بْنِ ٠ِعْنَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ لا غِنَى أَخْصَبُ ٠ِنَ الْعَقْلِ وَلا فَقْرَ أَحَطُّ ٠ْقِ وَلا اسْتِظْهَارَ فِي أَ٠36.

Ali Ibn Muhammad from a number of his companions from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Nadhr Ibn Suwayd from Humran and Safwan ibn Mihran Al-Jammaal who both said they heard that Abu ‘Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) said, “No wealth is more profitable than intelligence, and no poverty is more limiting than foolishness and never is showing-off in a matter more beneficial than consulting it [with others]."
