Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on the necessity to seek knowledge and the recommendations to learn 7ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ ٠ُفَضَّلِ بْنِ عُ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ عَلَيْكُ٠ْ بِالتَّفَقُّهِ فِي دِينِ الله وَلا تَكُونُوا أَعْرَاباً فَإِنَّهُ ٠ْ يَتَفَقَّهْ فِي دِينِ الله لَ٠ْ يَنْظُرِ الله إِلَيْهِ يَوْ٠ْ يُزَكِّ لَهُ عَ٠7.

Al-Hassan ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ja‘far ibn Muhammad from al-Qasim ibn al-Rabi‘ from Mufaddal ibn ‘Umar that he heard Abu ‘Abdillah (al-Sadiq) (as) say, "It is necessary for you to have a good understanding of the religion of Allah.

Do not be like the Bedouins, because those who do not gain a good understanding of the religion, Allah will not look at them on the Day of Judgement, and none of their deeds will be cleansed." يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/101))
