Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on the Qualities of the Scholars َدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ قَالَ أَ٠ِنِينَ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) لا يَكُونُ السَّفَهُ وَالْغِرَّةُ فِي قَلْبِ الْعَالِ٠5.

Ahmad ibn ‘Abdallah from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from certain persons of his people in a marfu‘ manner (rafa’ahu) from Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (a.s.) who has said the following. “Foolishness and arrogance are not found in the hearts of the scholars.” رفوع - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/120)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
