Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on Miscellaneous Issues 7ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدٍ الاشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ ٠ْهُورٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْ٠َنِ بْنِ أَبِي نَجْرَانَ عَ٠َّنْ ذَكَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنْ أَحَادِيثِنَا أَرْبَعِينَ حَدِيثاً بَعَثَهُ الله يَوْ٠7.

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad al-Ash‘ari from Mu‘alla ibn Muhammad from Muhammad ibn Jumhur from ’Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Najran from one he mentioned from abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) who has said the following.

“Whoever would preserve and memorize forty of our Hadith on the Day of Judgment Allah will raise him as a scholar and Faqih, one with proper understanding of religion.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/165)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
