Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on narrating books and Hadith (The virtue of writing and its preservation) 6ـ عَنْهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ عَنْ أَحْ٠َرَ الْحَلالِ قَالَ قُلْتُ لابِي الْحَسَنِ الرِّضَا (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا يُعْطِينِي الْكِتَابَ وَلا يَقُولُ ارْوِهِ عَنِّي يَجُوزُ لِي أَنْ أَرْوِيَهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِذَا عَلِ٠ْتَ أَنَّ الْكِتَابَ لَهُ فَارْوِهِ عَنْهُ.

Can I narrate it from him?’” He (the narrator) said that he (a.s.) said, “If you knew that the book is his then narrate it from him.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/179))
