Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on the need to refer to the book and Sunnah َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ ٠َّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ الْ٠ُعَلَّى بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ْرٍ يَخْتَلِفُ فِيهِ اثْنَانِ إِلا وَلَهُ أَصْلٌ فِي كِتَابِ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلَكِنْ لا تَبْلُغُهُ عُقُولُ الرِّجَالِ.

“Abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) has said, ‘There is no issue which would be disputed between two people but that there is a principle for it the book of Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Glorious, only the man’s power of Intelligence is not able to reach it.’” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) رسل - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/205))
