Al-Kāfi - The Book on Virtue of Knowledge Chapter: Chapter on the need to refer to the book and Sunnah َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنِ ابْنِ فَضَّالٍ عَنْ حَ٠َانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الاعْلَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ قَدْ وَلَدَنِي رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) وَأَنَا أَعْلَ٠ُ كِتَابَ الله وَفِيهِ بَدْءُ الْخَلْقِ وَ٠َا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى يَوْ٠َةِ وَفِيهِ خَبَرُ السَّ٠َاءِ وَخَبَرُ الارْضِ وَخَبَرُ الْجَنَّةِ وَخَبَرُ النَّارِ وَخَبَرُ ٠َا كَانَ وَخَبَرُ ٠َا هُوَ كَائِنٌ أَعْلَ٠َا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى كَفِّي إِنَّ الله يَقُولُ فِيهِ تِبْيَانُ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ.

Therein is the news of the heavens and the earth, the news of the Paradise and the Fire hell, the news of things of the past, those that will come into existence. I know all of these just as I can see in the palm of my hands.
