Al-Kāfi - The Book on Oneness of Allah (God) Chapter: Chapter on Can Allah (God) be Considered a Thing?

ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى الْحَلَبِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ ٠ُسْكَانَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ إِنَّ الله خِلْوٌ ٠ِنْ خَلْقِهِ وَخَلْقَهُ خِلْوٌ ٠َا وَقَعَ عَلَيْهِ اسْ٠َا خَلا الله فَهُوَ ٠َخْلُوقٌ وَالله خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْ‏ءٍ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي لَيْسَ كَ٠ِثْلِهِ شَيْ‏ءٌ وَهُوَ السَّ٠4.

A number of our companions from Ahmad b. Muhammad b. Khalid al-Barqiyy, from his father, from al-Nadr b. Suwayd, from Yahya al-Halabiyy, from ibn Muskan, from Zurarah b. A'yun who said: I heard Abi 'Abdillah (a.s.) saying: “Allah is distinct from His creatures and the creatures are different from Him. Whatever could be called a thing is a creature except Allah Who is the Creator of all things.

Holy is He for Whom there is no similarity and He is all-hearing and all-aware.” صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (1/284)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
