Al-Kāfi - The Book on Oneness of Allah (God) Chapter: Chapter On Prohibition on Considering Allah as having Body (JISM) and Form (SURAH) َّدٍ رَفَعَهُ عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفَرَجِ الرُّخَّجِيِّ قَالَ كَتَبْتُ إِلَى أَبِي الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ٍ فِي الصُّورَةِ فَكَتَبَ دَعْ عَنْكَ حَيْرَةَ الْحَيْرَانِ وَاسْتَعِذْ بِالله ٠ِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ لَيْسَ الْقَوْلُ ٠َا قَالَ الْهِشَا٠5.

Ali ibn Muhammad, in a marfu‘ manner, has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Faraj al-Rukhkhaji who said: “I wrote to Abu al-Hassan (a.s.) about the words of Hisham ibn al-Hakam about the body, and the words of Hisham ibn Salim about the form (of Allah). He wrote in, ‘Remove from yourself the confusion of the confounded people and seek refuge from Allah against Satan. The (correct) position is not what the two Hishams have said.’”
