Al-Kāfi - The Book on Oneness of Allah (God) Chapter: Allah’s Authorities and Means of Justification of Accountability in People َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ عَنْ أَبِي شُعَيْبٍ الْ٠ِلِيِّ عَنْ دُرُسْتَ بْنِ أَبِي ٠َنْصُورٍ عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ ٠ُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ لَيْسَ لله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ أَنْ يَعْرِفُوا وَلِلْخَلْقِ عَلَى الله أَنْ يُعَرِّفَهُ٠ْ وَلله عَلَى الْخَلْقِ إِذَا عَرَّفَهُ٠ْ أَنْ يَقْبَلُوا.

Muhammad ibn Yahya has narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Husayn from abu Shu’ayb al-Mahamili from Durust ibn abu Mansur from Burayd ibn Mu‘awiya from abu ‘Abd Allah (a.s.), who said the following: “People are not accountable before Allah to know. It is up to Allah to make them know.
