Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Issue that the Earth at no time is without a Person with Divine Authority 10ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْفُضَيْلِ عَنْ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لابِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَ تَبْقَى الارْضُ بِغَيْرِ إِ٠ٍ قَالَ لَوْ بَقِيَتِ الارْضُ بِغَيْرِ إِ٠10.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Fudayl from ibn abu Hamza who has said the following. “I asked abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.), ‘Can the earth be left without the Imam?’” The Imam (a.s.) replied, “ Were to remain without Imam it would obliterate its inhabitants.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/297))
