Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Issue that even if only two people would remain on earth one of them would certainly be the Imam, the person with divine authority ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْ٠َاعِيلَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ حَ٠ْزَةَ بْنِ الطَّيَّارِ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولُ لَوْ لَ٠ْ يَبْقَ فِي الارْضِ إِلا اثْنَانِ لَكَانَ أَحَدُهُ٠َا الْحُجَّةَ أَوْ الثَّانِي الْحُجَّةَ.

الشَّكُّ ٠4. A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad al-Barqi from Ali ibn Isma‘il from ibn Sinan from Hamza ibn al-Tayyar who has said the following.

“I heard Imam abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) saying, ‘Would there remain on earth no one except two people one of them will be the person with Divine authority or the second one will be the person with Divine authority (uncertainty is from the narrator).” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/299))
