Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Imam (a.s.) Possess Divine Authority and the Treasure of Divine Knowledge ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَسْبَاطٍ عَنْ سَوْرَةَ بْنِ كُلَيْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) وَالله إِنَّا لَخُزَّانُ الله فِي سَ٠َائِهِ وَأَرْضِهِ لا عَلَى ذَهَبٍ وَلا عَلَى فِضَّةٍ إِلا عَلَى عِلْ٠2.

A number of our people has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Ali ibn Asbat from his father, Asbat from Sawra ibn Kulayb who said: Imam Abu Ja’far (a.s.) said to me: “By Allah, we are the treasurers of Allah in His heavens and on His earth, not over gold or silver, but over His knowledge.” صحيح - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi (27/ 1)) جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/347))
