Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from Muâalla ibn Muhammad from al-Washshaâ from âAbdallah ibn Sinan who has said that he asked abu âAbdallah (a.s.) about the meaning of the following verse of the Holy Quran.
âGod has promised the righteously striving believers to appoint them as His deputies on earth, as He had appointed those who lived before...â (24:55) The Imams (a.s.) said, âThe people referred to in this verse are the Imams (a.s.).â Ø¶Ø¹ÙÙ - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (MirʾÄt al-Ê¿UqÅ«l fÄ« Sharḥ AkhbÄr Äl al-RasÅ«l (2/351)) ÙØ®Ø±Ø¬Ù - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
