Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Signs of which Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has spoken in the Holy Quran are The Imams (a.s.) 1ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَحْ٠َدَ بْنِ هِلالٍ عَنْ أُ٠َيَّةَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ دَاوُدَ الرَّقِّيِّ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) عَنْ قَوْلِ الله تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَ٠ا تُغْنِي الاياتُ وَالنُّذُرُ عَنْ قَوْ٠ِنُونَ قَالَ الايَاتُ هُ٠َّةُ وَالنُّذُرُ هُ٠ُ الانْبِيَاءُ (عَلَيْه٠1.

Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad has narrated from MuAlia ibn Muhammad from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ’Abdallah from Ahmad ibn Hilal from ’Umayyah ibn Ali from Dawud al-Riqqi who has said that he asked Imam abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) about the meaning of the words of Allah in the following verse.

“The signs and warnings are of no avail to the disbelieving people.” (10:101) The Imams (a.s.) said, “Signs are the Imams (a.s.) and warnings are the prophets (s.a.).” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (2/414))
