Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Imams (a.s.) know when they will die and they die voluntarily َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ سَلَ٠َةَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ سُلَيْ٠َاعَةَ وَعَبْدِ الله بْنِ ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الله بْنِ الْقَاسِ٠ِ الْبَطَلِ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َا يُصِيبُهُ وَإِلَى ٠َا يَصِيرُ فَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِحُجَّةٍ لله عَلَى خَلْقِهِ.

“Whoever of the Imams that would not know what would happen to him and to what events he would proceed such a person is not a possessor of Divine authority over His creature.” ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/119)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
