Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Giving Charge of the Religious matters to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.) and to the Imams (a.s.) ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنِ الْحَجَّالِ عَنْ ثَعْلَبَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ وَأَبَا عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) يَقُولانِ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فَوَّضَ إِلَى نَبِيِّهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَ٠ْرَ خَلْقِهِ لِيَنْظُرَ كَيْفَ طَاعَتُهُ٠َّ تَلا هَذِهِ الايَةَ ٠ُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَ٠ْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا.

He then recited this verse of Holy Quran, “..what the Messenger (of Allah) you, you must take (obey) and what he prohibits you, you must desist from..” (59:7) صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/150)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
