Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Imams (a.s.) hear from the angels as Muhaddathun and are of Perfect Understanding َّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ ٠َّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ ٠َاعِيلَ قَالَ سَ٠ِعْتُ أَبَا الْحَسَنِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠َاءُ صَادِقُونَ ٠3.

Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from Muhammad ibn Isma‘il who has said that I heard abu al-Hassan (a.s.) say the following. “The Imams (a.s.) are scholar, truthful people, have perfect understanding and Muhaddathum hear from the angels.” صحيح - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi (31/ 1)) صحيح - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/164))
