Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: The Specific words of Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High and the Messenger of Allah that Grant Divine Authority to Everyone of the Imams (a.s.) 5 ـ عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِي٠َ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ السِّنْدِيِّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ هَارون بْنِ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ ابي جعفر (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ كُنْتُ عِنْدَهُ جَالِساً فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ حَدِّثْنِي عَنْ وَلايَةِ عَلِيٍ أَ ٠ِنْ رَسُولِهِ فَغَضِبَ ثُ٠َّ قَالَ وَيْحَكَ كَانَ رَسُولُ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) أَخْوَفَ لله ٠ِنْ أَنْ يَقُولَ ٠ُرْهُ بِهِ الله بَلِ افْتَرَضَهُ كَ٠َا افْتَرَضَ الله الصَّلاةَ وَالزَّكَاةَ وَالصَّوْ٠5.

Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from Salih ibn al-Sindi from Ja’far ibn Bashir from Harun ibn Kharija that Abu Basir who has said the following: “Once I was with Abu Ja’far (a.s.) at a session, when a man asked him, ’Please speak to me about the wilaya (divine authority) of Ali (a.s), whether it is from Allah or from His Messenger?’ The Imam who seemed angry said: ’Fie upon you!

The Messenger of Allah (s.w) was more fearing of Allah than that he should say what he was not commanded by Allah. Indeed, He decreed it (The divine authority of Ali (a.s.)) just as he decreed prayer, zakat, fasting and hajj to be obligatory.'" جهول - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/259)) يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi)
