Al-Kāfi - The Book about people with Divine Authority Chapter: Tacit and Explicit Testimony as proof of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali’s (a.s.) Divine Authority over the people after the Messenger of Allah ِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْ٠َّدٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَكَ٠ِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي حَ٠ْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) قَالَ كَانَ فِي ذُؤَابَةِ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) صَحِيفَةٌ صَغِيرَةٌ فَقُلْتُ لابِي عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَيُّ شَيْ‏ءٍ كَانَ فِي تِلْكَ الصَّحِيفَةِ قَالَ هِيَ الاحْرُفُ الَّتِي يَفْتَحُ كُلُّ حَرْفٍ أَلْفَ حَرْفٍ قَالَ أَبُو بَصِيرٍ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الله (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠ِنْهَا حَرْفَانِ حَتَّى السَّاعَةِ.

Abu Basir has said that abu ‘Abdallah (a.s.) then said, “Until this hour not even two letters have come out (their meanings understood, utilized and practiced).” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) وثق - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/287))
