Divine Authority over the people after abu al-Hassan Musa (a.s.) 4ـ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ ٠َّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الله عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُ٠َّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَ٠َّارٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لابِي الْحَسَنِ الاوَّلِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلا٠) أَ لا تَدُلُّنِي إِلَى ٠َنْ آخُذُ عَنْهُ دِينِي فَقَالَ هَذَا ابْنِي عَلِيٌّ إِنَّ أَبِي أَخَذَ بِيَدِي فَأَدْخَلَنِي إِلَى قَبْرِ رَسُولِ الله (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) فَقَالَ يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ إِنِّي جاعِلٌ فِي الارْضِ خَلِيفَةً وَإِنَّ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا قَالَ قَوْلاً وَفَى بِهِ.

My father took my hand until we were at the grave of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w) and said, “My son, Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, has said, “.. I am appointing someone as my deputy on earth,..” (2:30) When Allah, the Most Holy, the Most High, says a word He keeps His word.” يخرجه - Shaykh Baqir al-Behbudi (Sahih al-Kafi) ضعيف - Allamah Baqir al-Majlisi (Mirʾāt al-ʿUqūl fī Sharḥ Akhbār Āl al-Rasūl (3/343))
